10/20/2009 5:30 PM ESB 2.0 Toolkit in BizTalk Server 2009

This month, we moved our meeting from its usual spot on the last Wednesday and combined forces with the MSDN User Group so we not only heard TechnologyOne’s great presentation on Real World WPF, but also took advantage of Microsoft MVP Bill Chesnut’s visit to Brisbane!

First off, Neil Macdonald, David Sinnathamby and Patrick Nolan talked about a multi-million dollar development project using WPF, Prism and a number of the latest Microsoft Patterns, Practices and Tools that TechnologyOne Plus is undertaking.

Next, Bill presented an introduction to the Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) 2.0 Toolkit included with BizTalk Server 2009, focussing on the concept of itineraries.

11/25/2009 5:30 PM BAM & Operational Reporting

Dean Robertson from Mexia gave us a demonstration on one of the most under-used features of BizTalk Server......Business Activity Monitoring (BAM). But rather than demonstrating the out-of-the-box Tracking Profile Editor (TPE) and BAM Portal, Dean showed us how to use the BAM API's directly to capture activity data from your orchestrations and render it on your custom Operational Reports. This approach will give you maximum control over what data is captured and when, and ensures that your business users and Ops Support staff will finally be able to see "what's really going on" inside your orchestrations.

2/24/2010 12:00 PM Dave Lemphers Talks About Windows Azure
